Thanks for sharing this, I think I had missed this post of yours.
I'm not sure if there's really any value in seeing which turnovers turn into scores. I think any frisbee possession is basically a random process, with some average + standard deviation in how many yards a team is likely to gain before a turnover. Playing quickly should increase that number by a few yards, but it certainly doesn't guarantee that turnovers will turn into scores, just slightly raises the rate.
I guess what I'm saying is I don't really agree with your 2nd bullet point—even though you qualify it with "this sample only", you still then sort of draw conclusions that I don't agree with. To me the turnover in the end zone vs. on the playing field question is just 'noise' and not 'signal'.
Didn't realize how much Shout has been winning recently! Hopefully with both the US and European champions being aggressive about transition opportunities, more teams will start to realize how important it is...
I saw some good discussion in your Discord too, maybe I'll write a little follow-up at some point.
Nice post! CUSB/BFD Shout are a team that does this constantly and they've won 3 of the last for EUCF women's titles so they're a good team to watch for this. I briefly touched on this in a post of my own from last year - https://bettereverydaycoaching.substack.com/p/eucf-final-cusb-break-efficiency
